Terms of use
Last updated: October 5, 2026
This is a translation provided for convenience. In case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
These terms of use (the "Terms") govern the use of the Reelics game, available at reelics.app (the "Service"). The Service is published by Benoit Rospars EI, whose full details are given in the legal notice.
By creating an account, you accept these Terms, the community rules and, if you subscribe to Reelics Pro, the terms of sale.
1. The Service
Reelics is a free movie-themed collectible card game. Each card represents a film. Among other things, you can open boosters, build a collection, trade cards with your friends, sell them at auction for virtual currency, challenge other players to duels and join a guild.
An optional subscription, Reelics Pro, gives access to the benefits described in the terms of sale. The game remains fully playable without a subscription.
2. Access and account
Minimum age. The Service is reserved for people aged at least 18. By creating an account, you confirm that you are of that age.
One account per person. You may hold only one account. The information you provide when signing up must be accurate.
Security. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for the activity on your account. Let us know at contact@reelics.app if your account is used without your permission.
Username. Your username is public. It must comply with the community rules. We may change or remove a username that does not.
3. Cards and virtual currency
Licence to use. Cards, virtual currency, achievements and other items obtained in the game (the "Virtual Items") do not belong to you. They are granted to you under a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence, valid only within the Service.
No real value. Virtual Items have no monetary value. Virtual currency cannot be bought with real money, nor exchanged, refunded or converted into money or any other goods or services outside the game.
No trading outside the game. You may not sell, buy, rent or transfer Virtual Items or an account for real money or for any consideration outside the Service.
Random draws. The contents of boosters are drawn at random according to rates published in the game. Boosters can only be obtained by playing. They are never sold individually.
Balancing. To keep the game fair, we may adjust draw rates, currency rewards, market fees, duel statistics and other settings. A card you own keeps the rarity it had when you obtained it, even if the film's rarity changes later.
Removal of a film. If a film has to be removed from the catalogue (duplicate, error, inappropriate content or request from a rights holder), the corresponding cards may be converted into an equivalent card or compensated in virtual currency.
4. Trades and auction market
Trades and sales take place between players. Reelics provides the tool but is not a party to the transaction.
An accepted trade or a won auction is final. We only cancel it in the event of a proven technical error or fraud.
The market charges fees in virtual currency, shown before each listing. Access conditions may apply, for example a minimum account age.
5. Duels
No cards are at stake in duels: you never lose a card in a duel. Rewards are given in virtual currency and ranking points.
6. Conduct and sanctions
You agree to follow the community rules, which notably prohibit cheating, the use of bots, multiple accounts and harassment.
In the event of a breach, we may, depending on its seriousness and proportionately: issue a warning, remove Virtual Items obtained fraudulently, restrict certain features, suspend the account or delete it. Except in an emergency or serious fraud, we tell you the reason and you can challenge the decision at contact@reelics.app.
Deletion of an account for a serious breach does not give rise to any compensation for Virtual Items. If you were subscribed to Reelics Pro, the terms of sale set out what happens to your subscription.
7. Reports
Each film page has a report button (duplicate, content to remove, anomaly). You can also report a player or content at contact@reelics.app. We review reports and take appropriate action.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, its name, logo, design, texts, sounds and code belong to Benoit Rospars. You may not copy, modify or exploit them without written permission.
Film information and images come from TMDB. Titles, posters and images belong to their rights holders. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Content you create (username, guild name and description, messages) remains yours. You allow us to display it in the Service, free of charge, for as long as it is online.
9. Availability and changes to the Service
We do our best to keep the Service available at all times, but cannot guarantee it. It may be interrupted for maintenance, updates or incidents.
The Service evolves: features may be added, changed or removed. During beta phases, Virtual Items may be reset; you will be informed in advance.
If we decide to shut down the Service permanently, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance. Virtual Items disappear when the Service closes.
10. Liability
The Service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we cannot be held liable for indirect damage, the loss of Virtual Items through no fault of ours, or a temporary interruption of the Service.
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights as a consumer or our liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct or personal injury.
11. Personal data
How we process your data is described in the privacy policy.
12. Closing your account
You can delete your account at any time from your settings. Deletion is permanent and results in the loss of your Virtual Items. If you are subscribed to Reelics Pro, remember to cancel your subscription: deleting your account ends it at the end of the current period.
13. Changes to the Terms
We may change these Terms. In the event of a significant change, we will notify you by email or in the game at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not accept the new terms, you can delete your account before that date.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. If you live in another European Union country, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country.
In the event of a dispute, please write to us first at contact@reelics.app: we will look for an amicable solution. You can then use, free of charge, the consumer mediator named in the terms of sale. Failing agreement, the dispute is brought before the competent courts under the ordinary rules of law.
